• Q235B cold-rolled strip steel is a steel product made from hot-rolled strip steel and rolled into finished products at room temperature through a cold rolling mill. Among them, "Q" represents yield strength, "235" represents the minimum yield strength of 235MPa, and "B" represents the quality grade. It has requirements for low-temperature impact performance at room temperature of 20 degrees, ensuring its toughness and plasticity in the corresponding environment.

The thickness of cold-rolled strip steel and thin plates is generally in the range of 0.1-6mm and the width is 100-2000mm. The supply size of Q235B cold-rolled strip steel is usually 20-450mm wide and 0.3-3.5mm thick.

The carbon content of Q235B cold-rolled strip steel is moderate, which ensures a certain strength; manganese elements help to improve the strength and toughness of steel; and strict control of impurity elements such as phosphorus and sulfur ensures the quality and performance stability of steel.

(1) Mechanical properties: In terms of yield strength, when the thickness or diameter is ≤16mm, it is ≥235MPa; when the thickness or diameter is 16-40mm, it is ≥225MPa; as the thickness or diameter increases, the yield strength decreases accordingly, but there is also a specified minimum value. The tensile strength is 370-500MPa, with a certain elongation and good toughness, and the elongation is ≥26%.

(2) Processing performance: It has good stamping and welding performance, is easy to perform various cold processing operations, and can meet the processing and manufacturing needs of various parts. It can be used to manufacture various stamping parts with complex shapes, and can also ensure the quality of the welded joints during the welding process, and is not prone to defects such as cracks.

(3) Other properties: It has a certain degree of castability and can be used in some occasions that require casting performance; the surface quality is high. Since the cold rolling process is carried out at room temperature, no iron oxide scale is produced, and the surface is relatively smooth.
