Steel Structure Bolts

3. Connection between steel beams:

 

Use type: High-strength bolts or ordinary bolts are often used, and they are selected according to the stress conditions and design requirements.

Application method: When high-strength bolts are used for connection, similar to the connection between steel columns and steel beams, the force is transmitted by the pre-tension of the bolts and the friction of the friction surface. For some secondary structures or parts with less stress, ordinary bolts may be used for connection. During installation, insert the ordinary bolts into the holes and tighten the nuts. The reliability of the connection is mainly guaranteed by the shear and pressure resistance of the bolts.

 

4. Support system connection:

 

Use type: Ordinary bolts or high-strength bolts are generally used.

Application method: The support system of steel structures includes column support, roof support, etc., which are used to enhance the overall stability and lateral force resistance of the structure. Bolts are used to connect at the connection nodes between the support and steel columns, steel beams or other components. Bolts firmly connect the support members to the main structure, so that the support can effectively transmit horizontal forces and tension, and limit the deformation of the structure.

6. Maintenance structure connection:

 

Use type: Generally, ordinary bolts or self-tapping screws are used.

Application method: For the enclosure structure of steel structure buildings, such as color steel plate walls and roofs, ordinary bolts or self-tapping screws are usually used to fix enclosure materials such as color steel plates to the purlins or wall beams of the steel structure. Self-tapping screws can be drilled directly into steel or plates. They are easy and quick to operate and can effectively connect the enclosure structure to the main steel structure, playing a role in windproof, waterproof, and heat preservation.
