Flange Bolt

Description
1. Raw material preparation:
- 1.1 Material selection: According to the use requirements and performance characteristics of flange bolts, select suitable materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.
- 1.2 Quality inspection: Strict inspection of purchased steel, including checking the specifications, dimensions, hardness, chemical composition, etc. of the materials to ensure that they meet production requirements.
- 1.3 Cutting: Use cutting machines, sawing machines and other equipment to cut steel into billets of the required length.
2. Forming:

2.1 Cold heading: For flange bolts with smaller specifications and lower strength requirements, put the wire into the cold heading machine, and use the mold to plastically deform the metal at room temperature to form the flange and head of the flange bolt.
2.2 Hot forging: For large-size, high-strength flange bolts, heat the steel to a thermoplastic state, apply pressure on the forging equipment, and forge it into the required shape and size through the die.
2.3 Heading: The cut bar is cold headed by a cold head machine to form a flange at one end, and then cold headed again to form the head of the bolt as needed.
3. Surface treatment:
3.1 Galvanizing: Including electrogalvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing. Electrogalvanizing is plated with zinc through the principle of electrolysis, which has good corrosion resistance and decorative properties; hot-dip galvanizing immerses the bolt in molten zinc liquid to form a thicker zinc layer with stronger corrosion resistance.
3.2 Phosphating: A phosphate film is formed on the surface of the bolt through a chemical reaction to improve corrosion resistance and wear resistance, which is conducive to subsequent painting or lubrication treatment.
3.3 Nickel plating, chrome plating, etc.: According to special use requirements, nickel plating, chrome plating, etc. are carried out to obtain better corrosion resistance, wear resistance or decorative properties.
4. Inspection and packaging:
4.1 Dimension inspection: Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to comprehensively measure the length, diameter, thread size, flange size, etc. of flange bolts to ensure that the size meets the design standards.
4.2 Appearance inspection: Check whether there are cracks, sand holes, pores, burrs and other defects on the bolt surface, and whether the surface treatment is uniform and complete.
4.3 Mechanical property test: Sample some flange bolts for mechanical property tests such as tensile tests and torque tests to check whether they meet the specified strength, toughness and other requirements.
4.4 Packaging: According to customer requirements and transportation needs, the qualified flange bolts will be packaged in cartons, woven bags, wooden boxes, etc. for transportation and storage.
