The following points should be noted during the use of bolts:
Choose suitable materials: In high temperature environments, materials with good mechanical properties, fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance should be selected, such as low carbon alloy steel or medium carbon steel, which can maintain high strength and hardness at high temperatures while reducing the risk of oxidation and corrosion.
Use locking agent: The locking agent can fill the contact surface between the bolt and the nut, increase the friction coefficient, and improve the loosening resistance. The selection of suitable locking agents needs to be based on factors such as temperature, material and mechanical parameters.
Increase the tightening torque: In high temperature environments, the tightening torque should be appropriately increased to ensure that the friction between the bolt and the nut is large enough to resist the loosening risk caused by thermal expansion. However, the tightening torque should not be too large, so as not to cause the preload of the bolt and nut to exceed the material limit and cause fatigue fracture.
Increase the number of fasteners: The stability of the bolt can be improved by increasing the number of fasteners, but the number and spacing of the fasteners need to be reasonably controlled to avoid over-crowding or over-loosening.
Regular inspection and maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the bolts, promptly detect and deal with problems such as loosening and breaking, and ensure the stable performance of the bolts.
Avoid rapid temperature changes: Rapid temperature changes will increase the thermal stress of the bolt material and increase the risk of fatigue fracture. Therefore, rapid temperature changes should be avoided as much as possible when using bolts.
Reasonably design the connection structure: The design of the connection structure has an important influence on the stability of the bolt. The connection structure should be reasonably designed to reduce the impact of thermal expansion and stress concentration.
Choose high-quality bolts: High-quality bolts have better mechanical properties and fatigue resistance, and can maintain a longer service life in high temperature environments.
